The mod adds dramatically better transient response, and greatly decreases noise. The signal is cleaned up and harshness and distortion are eliminated. The result is a transparent, smooth, clean sound with added sustain, tight bottom and silky highs. The 3rd and 4th strings don't "stick out" anymore. The characteristic "honk" is gone. The tone is balanced across the neck. Greatly increased string separation allows complex chordal passages with all of the counterpoint to be heard clearly. Upper harmonics are easily heard and the cleanliness of the signal is superlative. Players have reported nearly doubled sustain.
